Sam Moyer
Sam Moyer and Eddie Martinez, our 2019 Art Auction honorees, offered our teens the opportunity to learn about their process and work through conversation and art making with new materials such a marble and plaster. The discussion revolved around why artists make their work and what ignites their creative practice. Inspired by Sam’s process and style, each teen made their own work of art by using plaster, marble, charcoal, and paint. This visit offered an opportunity for our young people to be exposed to a real working studio and to experiment with materials that they would not typically encounter.
