Shape and color is my biggest inspiration. This assignment was to make a portrait of a rock band and I chose the lead singer from a Mexican rock band called Zoé. My process for making this piece was to listen to their music non stop and thinking about how it made me feel and how I can use color and shape to translate that. At the same time, I was considering the bands energy and aesthetic and trying to figure out a balance between my interpretation of them vs how the band presents themselves. I learned a lot throughout this process, mainly color mixing and learning more about what kind of art I want to make.
